The demand for buying Holiday Homes in the South West is in rude health. Compared with March and April last year our South West business partner,  Chartsedge have seen a 3 fold increase in the number of potential buyers registering with them. Miles from Chartsedge said "We had a record April and are talking to a lot of very serious buyers who have decided that now is the right time to buy. We have not seen this kind of confidence for many years".

Most of the buyers are primarily looking to use their second home for themselves and their family initially and to then possibly move into in a few years when they retire. One of our buyers’ family have even booked a holiday in the new holiday home this September and his parents have not even exchanged contracts yet! The vast majority of buyers want their new acquisition to earn them some money to cover costs but also look in the long term for a capital uplift on their asset to supplement their retirement income. With prices now starting to creep up many buyers are telling Chartsedge that they feel more confident in the market than they have done for years.

They are also seeing buyers looking for something that is different to the usual apartment or house they want to have a special holiday home they can enjoy that is unusual and fun.
